My past weekend was nothing short of awesome! Not because I
cooked and watched part of the Olympics but because I found myself in the midst
of what I love and people that inspired me.
Few days ago I talked about being the Guest Poet at TREM
Fulham (http://somtospeaks.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/word-worship-and-poetry.html)
and yes that was the highlight of my weekend!
The day started with me sitting in the front row of the
church as a special guest and looking back and smiling to myself saying, I can
get used to this indeed! The brain
behind the event, my darling friend Shirley (https://www.facebook.com/csebeniro?ref=ts#!/groups/172834014427/)
was the engaging master of ceremony for the event. She took us on a journey of
life changing words and ministration.
It was an event filled with scriptures not just in English
(yep!). Have you ever heard John 3 vs.
16 recited in French? It is divinely romantic! I was not just there to give what God has
blessed me with but I was also fed well into my Spirit. The choir sang
beautifully, there was another guest speaker who spoke on purpose and this made
me leave the event thinking and reflecting.
If a chair is used as a cupboard, it never changed from being a chair
but it would never be a chair if it does not discover why it was created. (I
shall discuss this further in another time) and then I was called up to the
stage.
I had four different pieces and I decided to go as the
Spirit led. I had three I had never recited and one I had recited before.
The first one I called ‘Nothing out of error’ was
about not using your present to summarise your life. Our destinies are as
bright as the sun in summer but we have to remember that is not the only form
of weather. We have to tune into positivity regardless of present situations’. Psalm
37 vs. 23 (NLT) ‘The LORD directs the steps of
the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives’. Link to

The second piece called Nameless was one I had
recited before. Proverbs 6 vs. 6 (NIV) ‘Go to the ant,
you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! Link to Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL_npXEw6us&feature=player_embedded
The third piece I called ‘Torn in Between’
was one I did not expect to recite but that was the perfect timing. I wrote it
but never really ended it, yet, I saw it perfect that way. The inspiration was
based on being a young Christian and the constant mind battles that come upon
us. We are Spirit all covered up in Flesh, the question is, which do we listen
to? Psalm 90 vs. 12 (NIV) ‘Teach
us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom’. Link to video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHGcFrj3iBo
I made a promise not to leave you out of the divine words I
uttered on stage that day and I am here to keep my
promise. Feel free to like and comment on the videos, subscribe to the blog and
YouTube account!
