Chicken soup!

I was multitasking at work and that included typing and listening to Dr Myles Munro message on Potential via my phone.

You need to see the speed in which I used to type down some words he said that would  make me almost jump up from my chair!

Some of my notes are as below:

-           Confusion means you are busy but not effective. Now on matters regarding confusion, been there, done that, and maybe been there again..lol. I believe Dr Myles is talking about that life episode when because we are in search of something, we decide to do everything! Everything that makes us feel we are doing something. When our fingers need be in different bowls of activities  just so we call something our handiwork and get home feeling fulfilled. I feel that this is a catch 22 kind of strategy because you might be lucky enough to find that one activity pulling at your heart strings the more or you might be so busy you sow different seeds in different lands and not have enough stamina to water or even tender to them.

-          The bucket can never be the well. When I heard this, I literally made that sound you make at church when the Pastor hits it right home! ‘hmnnnn!!!!’  He went on to explain that the creation can never be the source. The bucket cannot be filled by its own self but from the well. Some people might think otherwise by saying, it is all in the mind of the bucket for it to continually be at the mercy of the well or for it to find its way in the middle of the sea. However, literally, what the statement means is as creations of the ultimate Creator, we would forever have a need for our source. We might try to get filled from the rain but the sun would dry it all out. We might try to get filled from the tap but we can be turned over. The bucket can never be the well.
-
Nothing changes till our mind changes.  We have heard, seen this so many times even our baby brother has mentioned it to us. It is a straight forward statement but the work is  ‘till our mind changes’. Till our mind changes, we cannot sleep and expect an overnight change. Till our mind changes, we cannot sit and expect the change. Till our mind changes, we cannot say the same things, do the same things, act the same way and think the mind in its own world is undergoing the change. Till our mind changes, we cannot see the difference we aspire for or the confidence we long for. Till our mind changes we cannot complain nothing is changing.

-          It is more tragic to be alive and not know why, than to be dead and know no life. Dr Myles mentioned that most people are living as an experiment. I guess this is vaguely similar to the number 1 point above. To be dead and know no life is much better than to be alive and not know why. Why do I agree to this? Because the another name of  death is ‘expire’ ‘end’. One of the purpose of death is to not exist, so therefore life cannot be found in death  in fact death is the absence of human life. However another name of being alive  is ‘blooming’ ‘successful’ ‘flourishing’ ‘active’ ‘to live’. So for one to be alive and not live its meaning is definitely more tragic. It is a loss because at the end of the day, it is like cheating oneself.

-          Is your life  determined by the next pay check? This was another ‘hmnnn!!!’ moment for me. Don’t need to belabour on this because the answer would spur up questions only you can answer.

5 questions we must answer to be successful
Who am I?

Where am I from? Until you know where you are from, you don’t know who you are. What is your source?

Why am I here?

What can I do?  A tough question because most people are living below their expectation. We have allowed people, culture and society to tell us what we can and cannot do. Perception has tied us down that we cannot move further than the thoughts of people. I call it fear transference, when the words of people have made us see only how far we can go which is not so far.

Where am I going? Some of our graveyards are our jobs. Nothing can bury you faster than a job we are trapped in! The cycle and routine that produces the same result. Where are you really going with that?
Your purpose is the important thing to find, because when you find it, you find your potential and you become unstoppable.

Potential is all you can do but you haven’t done yet.
Potential is who you really are but no one knows yet.
Potential is who you can become, but you have not become yet..

Whatever you have done is no longer your potential. Potential is what you have not done yet. Potential is the you no one knows yet. God is a God of potential even the Bible says His mercies are new every morning. God is bored with what you have done, yea He is screaming NEXT?!!

The greatest enemy of progress is your last success because you would become proud of what you have done that you lose focus on what you more you could do. Do not trust what you last achieved because it would trap you down.
Don’t ever get caught where God used to be. Some of our testimonies are so old that God is tired of them. God is too creative to repeat himself. He never duplicated a miracle in the Bible. He is a God of potential.

Potential means NEVER FINSIHING
OMNI- means ‘all’, ‘complete’
POTENT- means ‘power’, ‘might’, ‘force’, ‘energy’
OMNIPOTENT means ALL POTENTIAL

Before anything is, God was! So when that thing comes into existence, means that everything was already inside of Him. Inside of you is everything, bring them into existence and then move on to the next!
